Happy 100th, Marguerite: Kingstonian marks milestone birthday

One Kingston woman becomes a centenarian today, a milestone that calls for virtual birthday well-wishes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Born April 23, 1921 in Mountain Grove, North Frontenac, Marguerite Coaty Conway has spent much of her 100 years here in Kingston. Mother of nine and grandmother to lots of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, too, Marguerite loves to play darts, a pastime she looks forward to returning to after the pandemic.
Marguerite is also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560, an organization that’s played an integral role in growing and connecting the Legion to the Kingston community since 1958. The Ladies Auxiliary also supports a number of community fundraisers annually, such as the KGH Teddy Bear Campaign.
Besides darts, Marguerite has a passion for dancing, playing bingo, and going to the casino – all things she looks forward to doing in her 101st year following the pandemic.
Happy birthday, Marguerite!
Love from Penny and Logan Cadue
