The Town of Greater Napanee and Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox & Addington has announced that they have reached an agreement regarding the sale of 99 Advance Avenue, contingent on approval of the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services.
According to a release from the Town, dated Thursday, Jun. 16, 2022, public notice was given that the Council of the Town of Greater Napanee will consider a by-law to authorize the purchase of property for use as a centralized administration building at the Regular Session of Council to be held in-person at Town Hall (124 John Street) on Tuesday, Jun. 28, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.
In May 2022, the Town stated that they were investigating the potential of buildings within the community for the purpose of improving customer service and convenience for residents. At the time, the Town said that the purpose of obtaining this building would be to serve as a new centralized office in which all municipal departments work and operate out of.
According to the release, the total capital project cost is proposed to be $5.8 million.
