Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home shares statement on COVID-19 cases

Arbor Memorial has confirmed that three staff members at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes – Township Chapel have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement on Arbor Memorial’s website, the employees have been sent home and are now in quarantine.

“We take this matter extremely seriously. We have immediately taken steps to protect our customers and other staff, sterilize our facilities, and cooperate with Kingston Frontenac Lennox & Addington (KFL&A) Public Health on any additional precautions,” their statement read.

“To ensure the chapel can remain open to serve the community, our staff from our sister chapel The Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes – Central Chapel will be supporting our Township Chapel. Our staff are always available to answer any questions that you may have, as well as continue to provide phone, virtual and in-person consultations.”
