Gaels happenings: Big wins for Gaels Squash teams, Men’s Volleyball team to host Forsyth Cup

On top of the Queen’s Men’s Hockey team defeating the Carleton Ravens to put them in line to host the Queen’s Cup on Saturday, Mar. 9, 2019, the Gaels have seen some massive wins, and one team’s season come to an end over the past weekend.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL – Gaels take down Guelph in a five-set thriller, will host Forsythe Cup Final Four next weekend

KINGSTON, Ont. (March 2, 2019) – The Queen’s Gaels (1-0) the top-seed from the OUA East conference defeated the Guelph Gryphons (0-1) the fourth-seed in the OUA West 3-2 with the fifth set extending out to 23-21.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL – Gaels season comes to a close with tough 3-1 loss at Western in OUA quarter-final

LONDON, Ont. (March 2, 2019) – The Queen’s Gaels (0-1) who entered playoffs as the third-seed from the OUA East saw their season come to an end after a 3-1 defeat from the OUA West second-seed Western Mustangs (1-0)

SQUASH – Gaels win big at Squash University Nationals

MARKHAM, Ont. (March 4, 2019) – Gaels rookie and OUA MVP Sydney Maxwell has added national champion to her accolades in 2019 with a win in the women’s open division at the 2019 Canadian University and College Championship. From the men’s squash team Chris Howard was able to take the ‘A’ title.
