Gaels celebrate two championship wins at home

This past weekend made for an exciting and memorable two days for the Gaels and their fans, as the Men’s Hockey and Men’s Volleyball teams captured to championship wins over two days at home in Kingston.

MEN’S HOCKEY

Queen’s Cup coming home, Gaels defeat Guelph 4-1

KINGSTON, Ont. (March 9, 2019) – The Queen’s Gaels are OUA men’s hockey champions for the first time since 1981 after they defeated the Guelph Gryphons 4-1 in the Queen’s Cup championship game at the Memorial Centre in Kingston in front of a sell-out crowd of 2,800 fans.

Gaels End McMaster’s Reign, Winning Forsyth Cup at Home

KINGSTON, Ont. (March 10, 2019) – The Queen’s Gaels are the 2018-19 OUA men’s volleyball champions for the first time since 2011, topping the McMaster Marauders in front of 1,441 fans in five thrilling sets. The Gaels victory in Kingston put an end to McMaster’s streak of six consecutive OUA banners.
