Frost advisory in effect for Kingston area

Environment Canada has released a frost advisory, stating that temperatures will drop near the freezing mark in the Kingston area on the evening of Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

“Temperatures will drop to near the freezing mark overnight into early Wednesday morning,” the advisory reads. “Frost may return for some areas Wednesday night.”

Residents are advised to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Easy ways to protect frost-sensitive plants are to bring them inside or cover them up during the predicted cold period. The Ontario government has more freeze protection tips on their website.
