Frost advisory in effect for Kingston and area

Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for Kingston, Odessa, Frontenac Islands, Napanee, Consecon, Picton, and Sandbanks Park.

“Temperatures are expected to fall to near the freezing mark tonight, resulting in patchy frost,” Environment Canada said in the advisory. “Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.”

Temperatures are expected to rise again on Sunday, with a sunny day reaching a high of 19 Celsius.
