Frontenac OPP investigate ‘possible incident’ in Mountain Grove

Frontenac Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are confirming that they conducted an investigation in the Mountain Grove area following reports of a “possible incident” yesterday. Few details were released about the nature of the investigation.

Sharbot Lake Detachment uniform officers, Emergency Response Team, the Criminal Investigation Division, the Canine Unit as well as a search helicopter responded to the area on the evening of Monday, May 2, 2022 and maintained a heavy presence in the area for over 24 hours.

OPP have not expanded on the exact nature of the incident but say that there was no danger to the public. All units cleared the area and the investigation was concluded by mid-afternoon on Tuesday.
