Friday Foto

historic downtown Kingston

This Friday Foto comes to us courtesy of the McCord Museum’s Notman Photographic Archives. Downtown Kingston, circa 1910, was a heavily industrialized area with a rail yard, and steady flow of shipping vessels. A century later, both the steps of City Hall, and face of Kingston’s industrial sector look very different. Where will be 100 years down the line? How will our telecommuting, hover car-driving descendants interpret the Limestone City as it stood in 2009?
