Happy Friday everyone! Ugh, who am I kidding, I have to work all weekend…yep, we’re in full swing now (it’s OCTOBER!) and that means, for me, that weekends are not really breaks anymore. But who am I to complain? Work for me means doing a concert tonight with The Swamp Ward Orchestra at Chalmers United at 7:30pm to fundraise for The Mulberry Waldorf School and then the Kingston Symphony will be having our season opening concert on Sunday featuring the stunning piano playing of Janina Fialkowska. Not a bad way to make a living.
For those of you who can sleep in tomorrow, the first official Soul Shakedown of the year is happening tonight at Time to Laugh. This month’s anti-poverty party will feature DJs Redfoot, Seditious, Grenadier and El Tico. Or, if live music is more your thing, The Toucan will host C’mon and Dull Senses this eve and The Mansion is featuring Library Voices, Paper Lions and Bend Sinister.
This also looks to be shaping up as a great weekend for a nice, long fall hike at Little Cat or Lemoine Point or just a stroll downtown so get out there an enjoy! Have a great weekend everyone!
Thanks to NapaneeGal for this week’s photo of our one and only (but for how long?) bridge across the river.
