Kingston City Hall, brinks security hall, robbing city hall, Kingston, OntarioI am proud to announce that since last weekend I’ve made considerable headway on my Christmas shopping, with only a few books, and consumables left to purchase. It feels fantastic to know that the majority of my shopping is behind me, and I’ve got nearly a week to finish it off around the downtown. Seeing how I’m now on vacation until the New Year, shopping and side projects are going to be healthily mixed into holiday baking, and hanging out with the Mrs.  Which reminds me, during a discussion regarding shopping techniques, one of my officemates identified some perceived differences between the sexes. He suggested that evolutionary psychology may have a part to play, in that men are hunters, while women are traditionally stereotyped as forgers. It’s a stretch to believe that all guys head out with a target gift in mind, but I admit that I go out with a list, and attack the beast until it is slayed.  Again, while not all women fit the label, I know that many of the women in my family prefer browsing and sifting through bins.  Do these patterns ring true in your household?  Share your thoughts by dropping off some comments below.

Today’s photo is brought to you courtesy of Kingstonist.  The image of an armoured Brinks truck taking all of our money away from City Hall is simply priceless.  We’ll definitely be reusing this one next time they announce a tax hike.  TGIF, and don’t forget to check out our calendar for what’s going on in Kingston this weekend.
