Brock Street, parking garage, downtown Kingston, Mini Cooper, Kingston, OntarioAt sundown today, eight nights of Hanukkah celebrations begin.  Other countdowns of note include the Olympic Torch Relay, which arrives in Kingston in 3 days, and Christmas, which is a mere 14 days away.  I’ll forgo the panic inducing comments to get you out there to finish your holiday shopping, because to be honest, I’m as guilty as the next guy for procrastinating this year.  If you’re also looking for something to do instead of shopping, please check out the Vigils for Survival around Kingston, and show your support for a commitment from Canada to reduce our CO2 emissions at the UN Climate talks in Copenhagen.  If you’re looking for something a bit more festive, why not check out one of the Kingston Symphony Orchestra’s performances titled Candlelight Christmas.  Last but not least, who could forget the dance-travaganza, So You Think You Can Dance, which will be cutting a rug, busting a move and doing the twist on Sunday.  Do people really watch this junk?  Special thanks to skevbo for today’s photo, which peeks between buildings at the parking garage on lower Brock Street.  Please take the time to check out some more of skevbo’s magic moments from around the Limestone City.  TGIF!
