Freezing rain warning for Kingston and area

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning in effect for Kingston, Odessa, Frontenac Islands, Napanee, Consecon, Picton and Sandbanks Park, with the expectation that these areas will receive some freezing rain tonight.

Periods of freezing rain are expected to affect many portions of these regions at times late this evening and after midnight.

Environment Canada says freezing rain will change to rain overnight in all areas as temperatures rise above zero.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
