Four people arrested in connection with 2019 Gananoque fire

An ongoing investigation into a structure fire in Gananoque has led to the arrest of four individuals, three of whom are from Gananoque, and the other hailing from Seeley’s Bay.
The Gananoque Police Service announced on Friday, Jun. 23, 2023, that the four arrests had been made the day prior “in connection with an ongoing investigation into a structure fire, dating back to 2019.” In response to Kingstonist inquiries, Gananoque Police disclosed that the fire occurred on Victoria Street in Gananoque on May 8, 2019, but no further details on the incident were released.
However, a result of the years-long investigation, a 45-year-old male from Seeley’s Bay, a 44-year-old male from Gananoque, a 43-year-old male from Gananoque, and a 30-year-old female from Gananoque were arrested. Each of them has been charged with one count of arson, Gananoque Police said.
All four individuals have been released on conditions and scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The Gananoque Police did not release the names of the accused individuals.
