Five vehicle collision closes Princess and SJA
The intersection of Princess and Sir John A MacDonald Blvd was closed for several hours on Sunday afternoon after a multi-vehicle collision at around 3:30 p.m.

According to a witness, a blue Volkswagen was headed northbound on SJA while a white Hyundai was westbound on Princess St at a high rate of speed. At the intersection, the Hyundai t-boned the Volkswagen, the force of the impact then causing it to clip another vehicle and hit a light pole. The light pole subsequently fell over and landed on two vehicles in the southbound lanes of Sir John A.

Eyewitnesses say that following the collision, the occupants of the white Hyundai fled the scene.
One of the occupants was soon caught by a driver of one of the other vehicles involved, after a brief foot chase. He was treated by Frontenac Paramedics for his injuries and transported to hospital.

The second occupant, allegedly the driver, was seen by eyewitnesses heading into the nearby Knights Inn. He remains at-large, though Kingston Police say they believe they know his identity.

The drivers of two other vehicles were also treated by paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries.
