Five arrested after OPP execute search warrant in Picton

Five individuals are facing charges after members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of the East Region Emergency Response Unit and East Region Community Street Crime Unit, executed a search warrant on London Avenue in Picton on Thursday, Jun. 30, 2022.

According to a release from the OPP, as a result of the search warrant, officers seized suspected cocaine, stolen property, and associated drug paraphernalia.

Dorothy Speirs, age 49 from Prince Edward County, Michelle Jubinville, age 47 from Prince Edward County, Larry Leveque, age 50 from Deseronto, Christopher McCall, age 51 from Prince Edward County, and Lexington Samuel, age 26 from Prince Edward County were charged with possession of a schedule one substance – cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, according to the OPP.

Leveque and McCall were further charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Speirs was further charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and two counts of failure to comply with release order. This accused was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on June 30, 2022.

According to the release, the other accused parties were released on undertakings to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton in August 2022.
