Final property taxes due Aug 31, says City of Kingston

Property owners in Kingston should have received their final property tax bill, and are asked by the City of Kingston to pay their property taxes by Monday, Aug. 31, 2020.
The deadline for payment was extended from June 30, 2020 to Aug 31, 2020 in order to alleviate financial pressures caused by COVID-19.
“Property taxes are an important source of revenue for a city and allow for the delivery of essential services,” the City said in a statement released Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020.
Property owners are encouraged to use payment options that do not require lining up at the City Hall Payment Centre. Payment methods are provided with your bill, and can also be found at CityofKingston.ca/Tax.
If you plan to visit City Hall to pay your bill, please wear a face covering and be prepared to maintain physical distance.
If you did not receive your property tax bill, call 613- 546-0000, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday to make an inquiry. Failure to receive the bill does not excuse property owners from payment or from penalties for late payment.
