Female fraud suspect identified

The Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they have successfully identified a female suspect involved with using a stolen credit card in Amherstview.

The OPP detachment released a surveillance photo of the suspect on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 asking for public assistance to help identify the female. She is suspected of using a stolen credit card at a business on Manitou Crescent on Wednesday, Jul. 11. The credit card was reported stolen two days later when the owner noticed the card had been used, and the OPP subsequently obtained surveillance footage.

The Napanee OPP say that the investigation is ongoing, and expressed gratitude for the public input.

“Thank you to the media and to the public from Napanee OPP for the assistance,” the detachment said in a press release.
