February giveaways at Gan Chev supports community during lockdown

By February, we’re all feeling a little tired of the cold, and this year we’re tired of the COVID lockdown as well. Gan Chev is looking to support local Gananoque businesses, and perhaps lift some spirits, with 16 Days of Giveaways over the four weeks of February.
“We wanted to do something nice to support the community that supported us during our COVID outbreak in December,” said Dale Sheppard, Marketing and Social Media Manager for Gan Chev. “We had community members, business owners, and customers reaching out to see if we were ok and we are so grateful for the support we received.”
Sheppard said they have purchased gift certificates to local businesses in Gananoque as a way to give back to the community that supported them during their difficult month.
“We decided to do this during the month of February because we know the lockdown has been hard on many people and we thought this might bring a smile or two to some faces in Gananoque,” Sheppard continued. “Some of the places we are reaching out to, and buying gift certificates from, are: Beggers Banquet Books, Steel Style Garage, Laverne’s Eatery, The Old English Pub and more.”
Plans for a spring or summer giveaway are already being discussed at Gan Chev as well. Sheppard said if they get a good turnout with many entries they will be happy to continue supporting other local businesses this way. “If we missed a business this time around we will get to them the next round,” she said.
The giveaways will take place on Gan Chev’s Facebook page, with four different giveaways happening each week in February. To enter, participants will need to follow the Gananoque Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Facebook Page.
