Expect delays during lane reductions on LaSalle Causeway

Lane reductions to allow for repair work on the LaSalle Causeway on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019.

Be prepared for delays around the LaSalle Causeway as alternating lane reductions take place today and tomorrow to allow for repair work.

According to Public Services and Procurement Canada, alternating lane reductions at the LaSalle Causeway will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019.

“During these periods, alternating traffic will be directed by two flagpersons to control traffic flow. There will be no lane reduction during peak hours in order to minimize disruptions. Motorists can expect minor delays,” Public Services and Procurement Canada said in a press release.

The bridge remains open to cyclists and pedestrians, and marine traffic will not be affected.

“PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience.”
