Erratic driving on Highway 401 in Kingston leads to impaired driving charge

Several complaints of erratic driving in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Kingston led members of the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to charge one person with impaired driving.
Just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jun. 4, 2022, officers responded to the complaints of an erratic driver westbound on Highway 401. According to a release from the OPP, officers located the vehicle and driver.
As a result of the investigation Peyman Fayazhah, age 48 of Vaughan, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Fayazhah had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle towed and impounded for seven days. They were released on an undertaking to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston later this month. Fayazhah will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
