Environment Canada issues Snow Squall Warning for Kingston and area

Environment Canada has issued a Snow Squall Warning for Kingston, Odessa, and Frontenac Islands. The national weather service says it is expecting a risk of snow squalls tonight, with flurries late this evening.
Local blowing snow is forecast for early this evening, with local amounts between 2 and 4 cm.
Sustained winds of 40km/h from the northwest are expected, with gusts up to 70 km/h, then diminishing to 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h later this evening, becoming light overnight.
Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions, including avoiding unnecessary travel.
