Environment Canada issues severe thunderstorm watch for Kingston and area

For the second time in as many days, Kingston and the area are under a severe thunderstorm watch.

According to Environment Canada, conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms “which may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain.”

Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, according to the national weather agency.
