Kingston and the area are in store for some heavy rain as the week comes to an end, with Environment Canada predicting rainfall of up to 40 mm.

Just after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement, advising that rain, at times heavy, is in the forecast for the night of Friday, Oct. 15, and into the morning Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021. The alert is in effect for the Kingston, Odessa, Frontenac Islands, Napanee, Consecon, Picton, and the Sandbanks Park areas.
