Environment Canada issues frost advisory for Kingston and area

Environment Canada is advising that temperatures well below the freezing mark are in store of Kingston and area on Monday, May 11, 2020.

The frost advisory is in effect for the Kingston, Odessa, Frontenac Islands, Napanee, Consecon, Picton and Sandbanks Park areas, and states that the below freezing temperatures are expected to result in frost of freeze conditions tonight and into the morning of Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

“Near or below freezing temperatures at night are expected to persist for much of the week as a cold air mass has settled into the area,” the advisory reads.

Residents are advised to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
