The Kingston community is invited to Easter Seals Ontario’s annual fundraiser, the Grayson Cup, for a day of golf, meals, fun contests, prizes, product samples, a silent auction, and more.

On Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, the third annual Grayson Cup will be held at the Cataraqui Golf & Country Club, in support of children and youth with physical disabilities. Over the past two years, this event has raised over $60,000 — $27,000 the first year, and $35,000 last year. This year, organizers have a goal of $40,000.

According to a release from Easter Seals Ontario, the event is an opportunity for the Kingston community to come together and help raise funds, which will go toward Easter Seals Ontario programs and services that benefit children and youth with physical disabilities in our community and across the province. Easter Seals believes that every child has the potential to grow into the best version of themselves, they just need the right equipment, support systems, and opportunities to do so.

“As you can imagine, this event is very near and dear to my heart. It is not only an opportunity to celebrate my son Grayson, but to raise awareness and support for other families like mine,” said Linda Clouthier, Community Engagement Officer for Easter Seals Ontario. “Together, we can help more kids like Grayson get the resources they need to surpass expectations and lead the best life they can.”

This year, Easter Seals is excited to have Todd Keirstead, PGA Professional Celebrity Golf Entertainer, and the Founder of ParaGolf, attending the event.

“Get ready, Todd will bring a whole new level of excitement, some fun trick shots and other elements out on the green,” organizers stated.

The organization included a heartfelt thank you to Sethi International, the title sponsor of the event for the second consecutive year, as well as Midas Kingston and ProLogistics Carriers. Easter Seals included an additional thank you to Titanium Transportation for their continuous and generous support.

Easter Seals Ontario has been a leading provider of programs and services for children and youth with physical disabilities since 1922. The organization is a registered charity, and offers a wide range of programs and services, including mobility and accessibility equipment funding, fully accessible summer camps, post secondary scholarships, youth ambassadors, and advocacy and public awareness. Easter Seals is only able to provide these programs thanks to the generous support of its donors and sponsors.
