Earn points while holiday shopping locally in Frontenac County

This holiday season, Frontenac County is inviting shoppers to download the Frontenac Discovery Guide app before heading out to local shops and businesses in the County.

The Frontenac Discovery Guide mobile app was created by the Frontenac County Department of Economic Development. According to a release from the County, it highlights local businesses throughout Frontenac County and encourages residents and visitors to the region to visit nearby stores. Users can collect points at each local business they visit during the holiday season.

Starting today, Wednesday, Nov. 23, and through to December 21, 2022, as part of the Shop Local in Frontenac campaign, app users can get special offers, collect points, redeem rewards, and win great prizes. Learn more about Shop Local in Frontenac challenges, and find a list of participating businesses on the Visit Frontenac website.

The County said that points are redeemable for a variety of rewards at local businesses, and everyone collecting points will have the chance to win a set of gift cards to local businesses or Frontenac County branded merchandise. Winners will be announced each week, and contest details are available at www.VisitFrontenac.Ca/ShopLocal.

According to the release, it’s easy to participate and there is no cost to use the app:

• Download the Frontenac Discovery Guide from the App Store or Google Play.
• Check out the various offers from businesses, as well as their regular experiences and offerings.
• Collect points at participating local businesses.
• Redeem points for rewards at participating local businesses.

“As you shop during this holiday season, have some fun, collect points to win, and support your local small business community at the same time,” Frontenac County said. “Be sure to check out the special offers and participate in the challenges and contests while using the Frontenac Discovery Guide app.”
