Driver charged after pedestrian struck by vehicle on Halloween night

A Kingston man is facing charges after he hit and injured a pedestrian crossing the street late on Halloween night.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Princess and Nelson Streets in downtown Kingston at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019. The driver struck the female pedestrian as she was crossing the street.
Kingston Police, Kingston Fire and Rescue, and Frontenac Paramedics attended the scene, where the pedestrian was treated for non-life-threatening injuries to her head and extremities before being transported to hospital. According to Kingston Police, the pedestrian was doing well in hospital when they last checked in.
The male driver was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
