Downtown BIA launches Holiday Shopping Passport

Kingstonians can support local businesses this holiday shopping season with a safe and fun shopping experience in downtown Kingston. Starting today, Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, the Downtown Kingston! (DK!) BIA is launching the first Holiday Shopping Passport giveaway.

The giveaway is offering shoppers the chance to win one of two $500 weekly prizes and a grand prize of a $2000 downtown Kingston shopping spree, according to a release from DK! dated Monday, Nov 2, 2020. Draws will be held every Monday until Dec. 21 2020, and the Grand Prize draw will happen on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021.

Pick up a passport from a participating business, a ballot drop off location: Leon’s Centre Box Office and The UPS Store at 427 Princess, or download from the Downtown Kingston! website.

Collect stamps at all participating businesses when you make a purchase of $10 or more. In the release, Downtown Kingston says if you’re shopping online, stickers will be sent with your purchase. Participating businesses will have a window poster on display.

After collecting five stamps, stick them to your passport, and drop off your completed passports to be entered into the draw.

Ballots can be dropped at at the Leon’s Centre Box Office (11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mon-Fri), and The UPS Store (427 Princess 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mon-Sat) or can be submitted online at www.downtownkingston.ca.

Enter as many times as you’d like, with five stamps per passport. Each week’s draw is cumulative, so if you entered a ballot in the first week, it could be a winner in the last week.
