“On Wednesday, Jun. 12, 2019, Robert Simpson, an inmate from the Regional Treatment Centre at Millhaven Institution died while in our custody of apparent natural causes,” CSC wrote in a press release on Friday, Jun. 14, 2019.

At the time of his death,  Simpson, 86, had been serving a sentence of 12 years for indecent assault and rape since March 1, 2017.
