CSC reports inmate death at Millhaven Institution

According to Correctional Service Canada (CSC), an inmate has died while in their custody of apparent natural causes.

Malcolm Latoski, 74, died on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, CSC said in a press release on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019. At the time of his death, Latoski had been serving an indeterminate sentence for murder and assault since January 30, 1974.

CSC will review the circumstances surrounding this death, as they do in all cases involving the death of an inmate. As per CSC policy, the police and coroner have been notified.
