According to the CSC, he had been serving an indeterminate sentence, which began on August 5, 2015, for first-degree murder. A Kingston man, Beszterczey was found guilty in 2015 in the murder of his wife in Trenton in 2012.

In response to Kingstonist inquiries, Mike Shrider, Regional Communications Manager for CSC, said that Beszterczey was 47 years old at the time of his death.

“Unfortunately, at this time, further information regarding the cause of death is not available,” Shrider disclosed.

“A quality of care review will be conducted to examine the facts surrounding the offender’s death, and the cause of death will need to be determined by the Coroner.”
