CSC reports death of an inmate from Millhaven Institution

An inmate from Millhaven Institution has died, according to Correctional Service Canada (CSC).
“On [Sunday] Jun. 2, 2019 Shawn Quehe, an inmate from Millhaven Institution died while in our custody,” CSC said in a press release on Monday, Jun. 3, 2019.
At the time of his death, Quehe, 25, had been serving a sentence of 4 years, 3 months and 17 days for armed robbery since November 7, 2016.
“The cause of death is not known at this time. The coroner was contacted and an investigation will be conducted,” said Vicki Liscumb, Assistant Warden, management for Millhaven Institution.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death. As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, CSC will review the circumstances.
