CSC reports death at Millhaven Regional Treatment Centre

An inmate has died at Millhaven institution, Regional Treatment Centre.
On Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, Patrick Pirozzi, 69 years of age, died of apparent natural causes following an illness, while in custody, according to a release from Correctional Service Canada (CSC) dated Monday, Nov. 2, 2020.
At the time of his death, Mr. Pirozzi, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for Assault (x9), Assault with a Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm (x3), Cause Disturbance, Indecent Assault Female and Theft over $200, since his sentence commenced May 4, 1987, CSC said in the release.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
