CSC report death of an inmate at Bath Institution

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has reported the death of an inmate at Bath Institution.

According to the CSC, Dwight Creelman passed away on Friday, May. 31, 2024. At the time of his death, Creelman, 69, had been serving an indeterminate sentence which began June 19, 1985, for second degree murder, aggravated sexual assault, possession of narcotics, and possession of restricted drugs for the
purpose of trafficking.

Creelman’s next of kin have been notified the federal correctional agency relayed. The CSC noted that, at this time, further information regarding the cause of death is not available.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the CSC will review the circumstances, according to a media release dated Monday, Jun. 3, 2024.

“CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified,” the organization said.
