Cross country, rugby, soccer and more — A busy weekend for the Gaels

It was a packed weekend for the Queen’s Gaels, as both Cross Country and Soccer teams travelled to compete, the Men’s Rugby team continued their season undefeated, and both the Rowing and Men’s Hockey teams kicked off their seasons.
The Women’s Cross Country team travelled to Bethlehem, PA, where they won the NCAA Lehigh Paul Short Race and claimed the 6k Gold Division trophy. The Women’s Soccer and Men’s Rugby teams both brought home wins to remain undefeated, and the Men’s Soccer team earned a draw against the Trent Excalibur.

CROSS COUNTRY – Gaels women’s cross country wins NCAA Paul Short Run, men finish 16th
The men’s and women’s cross country teams set foot south of the border into Bethlehem, PA on Saturday, racing in the annual Lehigh Paul Short Run. Both Gaels teams competed in the Gold races, lining up against a number of NCAA Division I schools.
WOMEN’S SOCCER – Christie Gray earns hat-trick as Gaels roll past the Ridgebacks
OSHAWA, Ont. (October 6th, 2019) The Queen’s Gaels (9-0-2) defeated the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks (3-6-2) 5-1 on Sunday afternoon in Oshawa.
MEN’S RUGBY – Gaels men’s rugby continue undefeated season with commanding 64-10 victory over McMaster

PETERBOROUGH, Ont (October 5th, 2019) The Gaels earned a 0-0 draw against the Trent Excalibur in Peterborough on Saturday.
MEN’S HOCKEY – Gaels open up 2019 season strong with dominant 4-1 victory over the Voyageurs, split weekend series
SUDBURY, Ont. (October 4th, 2019) – No. 8 Gaels (1-0-0) open up the season with a 4-1 win over the Laurentian Voyageurs (0-1-0).
ROWING – Bryenton, Hubbard and Carlton earn silver for Gaels rowing at Head of the Trent
The
Queen’s men’s and women’s rowing teams traveled to Peterborough on
Saturday as they competed at the Head of Trent. The annual regatta
marked the Gaels first competition of the 2019 rowing season.
