Critical incident training exercise to take place at Royal Military College of Canada

Residents in the area of the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) may notice an increase in military and civilian police traffic in the vicinity on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021.

2 Military Police Regiment Detachment Kingston, CFB Kingston, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Kingston Police, and Kingston Fire and Rescue will be conducting a multi-jurisdictional emergency services exercise involving tactical response to a dynamic threat at RMC on the above date, according to a release from CFB Kingston.

The exercise will begin at 6:30 a.m., and will include the waterway as the scenario invokes responses from emergency services to train for an assess critical incident response, according to the release. Blank small arms fire may be heard in the vicinity of RMC.
