Criminal charges laid after domestic dispute in Marmora and Lake

After officers with the Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake, a 41-year-old man is facing criminal charges.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, OPP officers responded to the report, and after investigation the man was arrested and charged with domestic assault, according to a release from the OPP.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a first appearance scheduled in December 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, the OPP noted.

“Victims of domestic violence are not alone.
