Kingston Police arrest male with loaded handgun and drugs

Kingston Police have arrested a male for possession of a handgun and drugs following a raid on a central Kingston home.

“On September 22, 2021 members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit executed a drug search warrant at a residence located in the area of Princess Street and Portsmouth Avenue in the City of Kingston,” said Kingston Police in a statement.

Members of the Kingston Police Emergency Response Unit (ERU) were also on scene to assist the Street Crime Unit in entering the residence and arresting the target of the investigation.

“A search of the residence resulted in officers locating a quantity of cocaine, MDMA and a loaded .357 caliber revolver,” said Kingston Police.

Braxton O’Reilly-Dorsey, 23 years of age, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a loaded firearm.

O’Reilly-Dorsey was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
