Driver arrested for impaired after falling asleep at traffic light

A male has been arrested for Impaired Operation of a Conveyance after police found him and a passenger asleep at the wheel of a vehicle.

Kingston Police were dispatched to the intersection of Division St and Dalton Ave at around 6:45 p.m. on Thurs, Oct. 29 after concerned passersby found two individuals unconscious inside a vehicle.

Several police officers responded and soon found that the occupants of the vehicle had, in fact, fallen asleep while waiting at a red light.

Further investigation found that both the female passenger and the male driver were impaired. Furthermore, police also found the driver had a suspended license. He was subsequently arrested and charged. The vehicle was towed away and impounded.
