Aggravated assault suspect arrested

Kingston Police have arrested the suspect in a serious assault which occurred in the area of Division St and Pine St yesterday.

According to Kingston Police Media Relations Officer Ash Gutheinz, one male was assaulted in the incident, suffering serious injuries from the knife attack, and taken to Kingston General Hospital for treatment.

At approximately 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Jul. 28, 2020, Conway Woods was located and arrested at a downtown residence. Kingston Police say that he was subsequently transported to police headquarters, where he was held for a bail hearing today.

He is charged with aggravated assault and possess weapon for committing an offence.
