‘Cram a Cruiser’ with donations for the Christmas Hamper Campaign

Loblaws Supermarket at the Kingston Centre will host members of the Kingston Police on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, for the Cram a Cruiser food drive.
Buy items at the Loblaws or bring your own cash or items to donate to the seasonal food drive. According to organizers, the most needed items are baby items like baby food, baby diapers, baby wipes, foods such as dried and canned foods, dried fruits, pasta, rice, granola bars, cereal, pancake mix and personal hygiene products, as well as items for holiday meals. Gift cards are also a recommended item, and allow the organizations to purchase more of the items they need this season.
The goal for this event is to fill a local police cruiser, which will be parked outside the Loblaws at 1100 Princess Street, with donations to “support people and families in need in our community,” according to a media release.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and all donations will go to the Christmas Hamper Campaign, through a partnership between Loblaws, St. Vincent de Paul and Kingston Police.
