COVID-19 outbreak declared at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School

Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School, where there are currently three active cases of the virus.
The outbreak was officially declared on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, according to data from Public Health. The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) does not provide the dates cases have been detected at its schools on its listing of active COVID-19 cases, however, that listing states there are only three cases of the virus at the school — two student cases and one staff case.
According to the ALCDSB, there are currently 21 active cases of COVID-19 within the Board outside of its current active outbreaks, four of which are not within KFL&A. Fifteen schools within KFL&A are currently enduring outbreaks, according to Public Health. The ALCDSB lists five active outbreaks currently across the school board.
