COVID-19 case detected at St. Martha Catholic School

The Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) was informed of a positive case of COVID-19 at St. Martha Catholic School on the evening of Thursday, Mar. 4, 2021.

“All contacts of the individual were traced last night, shortly after the test result came in, and anyone who needs to isolate is doing so,” the board told Kingstonist in an email.

In addition, board staff and school administration issued communication to all families with students attending St. Martha CS to inform them of a positive case in the school, according to a release from ALCDSB.

“Currently, all persons needing to isolate or receive testing in relation to this case have been contacted and are following direction received from public health. ALCDSB continues to work closely with our public health partners to keep schools and communities safe, and stop the spread of COVID-19,” the board said.
