Hall Monitor: Waterfront Poster Maps

Kingston City Council Meetings, #ygkcLast night, city council, staff and the public gathered in City Hall for Kingston City Council meeting number 21-2013. The city has published the agenda and addeds online.

With a delayed start, short agenda and early adjournment, I’m almost willing to bet that last night’s meeting was one of the shortest of this council’s history – if not the shortest. Amongst the few items taken care of, though, council approved giving its mapping data to Google, approved some funding for affordable housing projects, created the Kingston Waterfront Master Plan Working Group and asked staff to research updates to the postering by-law.

I’m not sure if we can credit the shortness of the last two meetings to having two so close together, to coincidence of not having much going on or to incredible efficiency of our local officials – but I’m grateful for it.

Our complete Tweet stream – though technical problems prevented a recording. Our next meeting will be on October 15th in council chambers. See you then!
