Community groups encouraged to apply to City’s ‘suite deal’

Eligible community groups and organizations can apply to enjoy hometown hockey in style in the Leon’s Centre Community Suite.
The City of Kingston is encouraging incorporated not-for-profit agencies, registered charities, minor sports associations, service clubs and community organizations to apply for the “Suite Deal” which features the use of their Community Suite at the Leon’s Centre during Kingston Frontenacs’ regular season home games for the 2023-24 season.
Applications open on Friday, Mar, 31, and successful organizations will receive complimentary tickets to a Kingston Frontenacs regular season home game.
“Due to the limited number of home games, applications will be approved by the City on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful applicants will then have their names entered in a random draw to receive the date of their home game,” the City said in a media release dated Thursday, Mar. 30, 2023.
Applicants will be responsible for the cost of food and beverages. Groups that applied last season must reapply to be considered for events for this upcoming year, the City noted.
Those interested in finding out more and filling out an application can visit www.CityofKingston.ca/communitysuite before noon on June 1, 2023, to qualify.
According to the release, eligible groups include incorporated not-for-profit agencies, registered charities, minor sports associations, service clubs and community organizations in Census Metropolitan Areas (CMA) which include the Township of South Frontenac, Township of Frontenac Islands, Loyalist Township and the City of Kingston.
