Commissionaires Kingston goes into legal strike position on June 24

Commissionaires Kingston is going into a legal strike position at CFB Kingston and the Royal Military College of Canada on Monday, June 24, 2019.

This strike is between the Commissionaires Kingston union members and their management. The Department of National Defense is not in a legal strike position.

“Employees on a lawful strike or on their own free time are permitted by law to picket peacefully for the purpose of obtaining or communicating information” said Capt. Kim Lemaire, Public Affairs Officer for CFB Kingston.

Motorists are advised to expect delays along Highway 2 and Highway 15, especially during rush-hour times.
