Cocaine seized after OPP execute search warrant in Napanee

An individual from Greater Napanee is facing charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) L&A Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant in Napanee.
On Tuesday, Mar. 1, 2022, members of the Community Street Crime Unit, Lennox & Addington OPP uniform, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine Unit, executed the search warrant at a residence on Bridge Street in Napanee. According to a release from the OPP, officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, Canadian currency and items typically associated with drug trafficking. One person was arrested at the scene.
Mark Austin, age 56, of Greater Napanee was arrested and charged with;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Austin was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee in May 2022.
