CSN Gananoque continues excellent customer service under new management

Did you know the CSN Collision Centre in Gananoque is an extension of the Gan Chev dealership? The body shop was part of the Gan Chev service department, and still is, even though they have moved to a state-of the-art facility on Herbert Street.
The original body shop at Gan Chev was in a separate building across the street from the dealership. In 2017, they signed on with the CSN franchise and built a brand new facility. The Hall Family owns both CSN Gananoque and Gan Chev, and the Gan Chev family is celebrating 45 years in business this year.
CSN Collision Centre in Gananoque is also under new management. In August 2020, Ted Maloney came on board as a managing partner. With his background in the collision industry, Maloney was the right choice to join the Gan Chev team.
“I started working in the industry as a co-op student out of high school in a shop in Brockville in 1997,” Maloney shared with Kingstonist. “I was asked to stay and work at that shop after my placement and worked my way from body apprentice to head painter within a few years. I worked on the floor as an automotive painter until January of 2011. That’s when I started as a manager of a shop in Kingston.”
Jamie Hall, Director of Operations for Gan Chev/ CSN Gananoque, said that they were looking for someone to provide excellent customer service throughout what is usually an upsetting time in their customer’s lives.
“The Collision Centre business is such a specialized market and really requires a specific skill set and talent,” Hall said. “Providing our thousands of customers the best possible experience in a difficult situation in the event of an accident is very important to us. We spent time investing in and creating this state-of-the-art facility and needed someone who could take our vision of the facility and make it a reality. Ted was the person to do that. He has many years’ experience in the field and we are so happy to have him as a manager and part owner of the shop.”
The CSN facility on Herbert Street in Gananoque was updated with the very best and latest in repair and refinish equipment.
“It was an expensive, but necessary thing to do to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to repair quality and standards,” Maloney said. “We use the most up-to-date repair information available and apply them to our repairs every day.”
Beyond the top-notch equipment and expertise, CSN Collision Centre also offers a valet service to their customers. They will pick your vehicle up anywhere from Kingston to Brockville, bring it to their shop, set you up with a rental, and return your vehicle in pre-accident condition when it’s done.
Maloney shared something everyone should keep in mind: “If you’re in an accident and are dealing with your insurance company, remember it’s your vehicle and it’s your choice where it is repaired,” he said. “Insurance companies will try to direct you to one of their preferred shops, but it is always your right to choose!”
“So choose the shop that you’re comfortable with and are confident they have the proper tools, equipment and training to do the repairs right the first time,” he suggested. “The technology and materials are changing every day in vehicles, and we at CSN Collision Centre Gananoque are constantly evolving and adapting to those changes to ensure repairs are done to the highest standards.”
