According to a release from the OPP, officers were updated that the vehicle exited Highway 401 at County Road 41, at which time it was located and a traffic stop was conducted. Officers spoke to the driver who was subsequently arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

Cass was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee in November 2022. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 45 days. Cass will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
